While she enjoys walking alongside other greyhounds and is perfectly happy in their company when out and about, her downtime is best spent either alone or close to her humans. Because of this, Winter would love to be the only hound in her forever home, soaking up all the love and attention like a favourite winter treat. She does not rely on other dogs for reassurance, instead leaning into her bond with people, which is where she feels safest and most settled.
As long as she has humans who adore her as much as she adores them, Winter will be one very content little hound. She would do best in an adult-only home or one with mature teenagers, where life moves at a calmer pace.
A busy or noisy household would not suit her, as she truly enjoys the quieter side of life. Winter loves the simple pleasures, long snoozes, gentle walks, warm cuddles, and taking each day as it comes, like a slow winter morning with nowhere to rush to.
She does love all humans, big and small, and there is potential for her to live with mature children who understand when she is resting and can respect her need for calm. In the right environment, where her peaceful nature is valued, she will fully relax, defrosting into the most loving and affectionate companion.
When it came to her dog test, Winter was nothing short of exceptional. Blossom adored her straight away, and the two girls burst into joyful zoomies from the very first sniff, like snowflakes dancing in the air. Blossom does not hand out that level of enthusiasm lightly, which made it clear that Winter had truly passed with flying colours.
She even received the famous Blossom sniff of approval within seconds. Watching them bounce and play together as they walked up the road was one of the sweetest winter scenes we have seen and confirmed exactly what we already knew.
Winter truly is the full package, loving, kind, playful, gentle, and bursting with personality. She brings light wherever she goes, like a soft glow on a frosty evening, and it is impossible not to fall completely in love with her. She deserves a home that treats her like the precious treasure she is.
