Pookie has shared with a couple of boys in her time with us and has taken it all in her stride like the social little Pookie star she is. She is very social with the other greyhounds and more than happy to share her space. She is kind and affectionate with hounds and humans alike, always ready to spread a little Pookie sweetness. She would be more than content sharing her forever home with one or two hound friends, happily adding herself into a little pack.
That said, Pookie is a people dog at heart. She would be just as happy as the only dog in the home, soaking up all the love and cuddles for herself and being the main Pookie event. Whether she is part of a pack or has her humans all to herself, she will be happy as long as there is love, comfort, and a sofa with her name written all over it.
Pookie would love to be part of a family and would happily live alongside dog-savvy children. Because she can be very enthusiastic when it comes to love and cuddles, very young children would not be the best match, but children who are used to greyhounds and happy to receive plenty of kisses and cuddles would adore her.
She would also be equally happy in an adult-only home, as long as she is surrounded by humans who adore her just as much as she adores them. She loves to snooze the days away and enjoy the calm of a loving home, curling up into the cosiest little Pookie bundle. She still has her funny little zoomies and bursts of energy, but overall, she is an easy-going lady who takes everything in her stride. During her dog test, Pookie was an absolute star. She took everything in her stride and was calm, friendly, and beautifully well-mannered, showing off her lovely Pookie personality. She and Blossom got along instantly, walking happily side by side up the road without a single issue.
Blossom adored her, bouncing around her in delight, and it was such a lovely sight to see two happy girls sharing that moment.
