Meet Plum, our little Christmas pudding of joy, sweet, rich, and impossible not to love. She really is the ultimate lovebug, the perfect blend of soft sweetness and cheeky plum-like sass, and once she’s in your life, you’ll wonder how you ever lived without her.
Plum is a confident, affectionate girl who loves with her whole heart and gives the very best cuddle bug snuggles, the kind that feel like a warm, festive treat on a cold day. From the very first moment, she has you well and truly plum smitten, wrapping herself around your heart with her charm, warmth, and loving nature.
With her fun-loving spirit and sensitive, caring heart, she’s the kind of girl who feels instantly familiar, like a favourite pudding you’ve loved forever. Plum doesn’t just step into your life, she settles right in, spreading sweetness, laughter, and love into every corner. Her joy is wonderfully contagious, and she brings that cosy Christmas glow even to the dullest days, making everything feel brighter just by being there.
Plum is full to the brim with affection and is a true people-lover through and through, always eager to be involved and share her love. She has that perfect sprinkle of plum pudding sass mixed with a whole lot of charm, and her silly, sweet ways will have you smiling from ear to ear. Her personality lights up every room she walks into, like fairy lights switched on at just the right moment.
She’s always ready with cuddles and kisses, happily wrapping her humans up in love and making you feel safe, seen, and cared for from the very start. Her presence is both calming and uplifting, a proper comfort treat for the soul. Plum has a real zest for life and thrives on the bonds she builds with those around her, and once you meet her, you’ll be wrapped around her paws faster than you can say plum pudding.
In the kennels, Plum is a true bright spot in our days, always ready to make us laugh with her bouncy energy and festive enthusiasm for life. She’s an outgoing girl who is rarely fazed by anything, full of sparkle and joy, and always keen to be part of whatever is going on. Plum has energy and excitement in abundance, yet she still has that classic greyhound chill when it’s time to relax, making her a wonderfully unique mix.
She really is one of a kind, and we don’t have another greyhound quite like her. Plum is clever, emotionally intelligent, and eager to learn, and I can just imagine her loving training sessions with her forever humans, soaking it all up like a sponge soaked in sherry trifle. She’s endlessly funny, a little clumsy with no sense of personal space, and completely unapologetic about it, which only adds to her charm.
Plum radiates light like a Christmas star and fills every space with warmth, laughter, and love. She is sassy, fun-loving, enthusiastic, and beautifully balanced by her kind heart and gentle soul.
Plum is Plum, and that is more than enough. She deserves to be loved for all her quirks, cheekiness, and festive sparkle, because her love is enormous, and her kindness is truly special. A girl like Plum should be cherished for life, because once she’s yours, she’ll keep your heart full and your days sweet, just like the best plum pudding that never runs out.
Living with Plum would be full of joy, chaos in the best way, and that constant feeling that something lovely is always about to happen. She is the kind of girl who would make every day feel like a celebration, greeting you with pure excitement, throwing herself into life with her whole heart and reminding you to enjoy the little things.
Plum would thrive in a home where she can be involved, included and adored, whether that is following you around like your festive little shadow, flopping dramatically onto the sofa for cuddles, or bouncing about with happiness just because she can. She has such a big presence and such a huge heart, and she fills a home so effortlessly with laughter and love.
Plum is not a background dog, she is the main event, the star of the show, and life with her would be louder, brighter and so much more fun. Whoever is lucky enough to welcome her home will never have a dull day again, because Plum gives everything she has, every single day, and that kind of love is something truly special.
Plum has settled into life at the kennels like she has always been here, and it truly feels as though she has been part of our family forever, like a favourite Christmas pudding that turns up every year and makes everything better. She steps into every routine, new situation, and new face with that bold, confident Plum sparkle of hers, taking everything in her stride without a hint of worry.
Her outgoing personality shines as brightly as a bowl of festive fruit, and she is rarely fazed by anything life throws her way. Plum does have a little more excitement and enthusiasm than some of our other hounds, but that is exactly what makes her Plum, bursting with joy and fizz like a well-soaked pudding.
After her bursts of playing, cuddling, and socialising, she happily switches back into classic greyhound mode, curling up and snoozing away like a cosy winter treat once she has had her fun.
This girl is so wonderfully full of joy that she actually ended up with a case of happy tail and needed a tail amputation, which honestly sums her up perfectly. Even through that, she took it all in her stride without a single fuss, still wagging what she has left with pure delight.
We always joke that she wagged it so hard she was about to take flight, like a Plum-powered reindeer. Her love for life is infectious and rubs off on everyone around her, bringing warmth and smiles wherever she goes.
Because of her confident and adaptable nature, Plum would suit a wide variety of home environments and will fit right in wherever she lands, like the finishing layer on a perfect trifle. She is confident, outgoing, and would do very well in busier environments, totally unfazed by the world around her, as long as her humans are right by her side.
One thing to mention is Plum on the lead, as her excitement for walks sometimes gets the better of her and she can forget she has four paws on the floor. She is currently walking on a harness, and some days she spends a little too much time on her back legs, keen to get out and explore like a fizzy festive sparkler.
We are working with her on loose lead walking here, and she is already trying so hard to learn, especially as she settles more. This is something that will continue to improve with guidance and patience, and it really should not put anyone off. Plum’s personality is the real showstopper, rich, joyful, and full of flavour, and that is what truly matters.
At the moment, Plum is kennelled with Eggnog, and the two of them get on brilliantly, like a festive pairing made to be. She is very social with other greyhounds and would be more than happy sharing her forever home with one or two hound friends. Her confident nature makes her wonderful at helping nervous boys settle in, gently showing them that life is sweet and nothing to fear.
That said, Plum is also very much a people dog and would be just as happy as the only dog in the home, soaking up all the love and attention for herself like the star of the Christmas table.
Plum would love to be part of a family and would happily live alongside older dog-savvy children. Because she loves giving enthusiastic and bouncy cuddles, she would need children who are comfortable around bigger dogs and who can enjoy her affection as much as she loves giving it.
She gives her love freely to any human who is ready to receive it. She would also be equally happy in an adult-only home, so long as her humans adore her just as much as she adores them.
During her dog test, Plum did struggle a little, which we were prepared for after her trainer told us he wasn’t sure if she would pass. She was very enthusiastic and a bit overwhelmed, especially when seeing Blossom, but she showed some really promising behaviour. After an excited greeting and a good sniff of Blossom with my assistance and support, she chose to look away and break focus on her own, which made us incredibly proud.
With the right people, calm walks, and gentle guidance, Plum will continue to learn that the world is not overwhelming and that other breeds are nothing to worry about. She is not reactive, just a bit over the top at times, and her heart is always in the right place.
Plum is loving, caring, and full of that happy-go-lucky sparkle we all adore, and we are completely head over paws for her.
