Mac can sometimes be strong on the lead, but since switching him to a harness, he now walks like an absolute angel.
The harness has really helped him feel more comfortable and confident, and we kindly ask that his forever home continues to use one so he can carry on thriving during his walks.
Recently, Mac attended one of our fetes and was the most perfect greyhound ambassador. He handled the busy environment so well, soaking up all the fuss and attention he received.
He saw lots of different dogs and experienced things that were completely new to him, and he took it all in his stride. We were incredibly proud of him. He showed everyone just how amazing greyhounds can be and was a shining example of how calm and laid-back they are as a breed.
Mac absolutely adores his greyhound friends. He’s shared his kennel with a few lovely female hounds and always got along beautifully with them. We know he would be more than happy to share his forever home with a friendly female greyhound companion.
That said, he’s also very content in his own company and would thrive as the only dog in the home, soaking up all the love and attention for himself.
Mac would prefer to live in an adult-only home or one with teenagers. While he loves to be playful, he also needs a calm space where he can relax and unwind.
There is potential for him to live with older children, as long as they are dog-savvy and understand how to give him space when he needs it.
During his dog test, Mac was an absolute delight. His tail started wagging the moment he saw Blossom, and he was very polite and relaxed around her. He happily walked alongside her, showing just how sociable and friendly he is.
Mac is an adaptable boy who will settle beautifully into a range of home environments. As long as he has his humans by his side, he will be a happy and content soul.
Whoever is lucky enough to welcome Mac into their life will be gaining a loyal, loving companion who brings joy wherever he goes.
