REHOME Dora🌍

Dora is the ultimate puppy in a greyhound’s body. Full of love, light and endless enthusiasm for life, she approaches every single day as though it’s her next big adventure. At under 2 years old, she has such a youthful outlook on life, and her happy, carefree personality is impossible not to fall in love with. She has a wonderful way of making every day feel exciting, and wherever she goes, she brings laughter, happiness and so much love with her.

She truly is a little ray of sunshine. Always full of excitement, always ready to see what the day has in store and always eager to be around the people she loves. Dora has such a beautiful zest for life that you can’t help but smile when you’re around her. She reminds you to enjoy the little moments, embrace every adventure and find happiness in the simplest of things.

One of my favourite things about Dora is just how playful she is. She absolutely loves her toys, enjoys zooming around with pure joy and has enough enthusiasm to brighten even the rainiest of days. Don’t get me wrong, she still enjoys all the things that make greyhounds famous, comfy beds, cosy naps and stretching out after a busy day, but Dora has that extra sparkle about her that makes her completely unique. She has such a fun-loving personality and a cheeky side that keeps everyone entertained.

In fact, Dora loved having fun so much that she wasn’t the greatest racing greyhound because she much preferred playing than racing! She was even disqualified for stopping to play on the track instead, which honestly tells you everything you need to know about this wonderful girl. Life has never been about winning races for Dora. It has always been about enjoying herself, making friends and having as much fun as possible along the way. I think that’s one of the many reasons she is so incredibly special.

Dora absolutely adores people and has so much love to give. She builds such lovely bonds with those around her and has the most wonderful way of making everyone feel like her favourite person. Whether she’s looking at you with those beautiful eyes, bouncing over to say hello or simply wanting to be wherever you are, she has a way of filling your heart before you even realise it. Her love is genuine, wholehearted and impossible not to return.

She also has the most infectious energy. Not because she is constantly on the go, but because her happiness is simply contagious. She has this amazing ability to lift everyone’s spirits just by being herself, and there is never a dull moment when Dora is around. She brings so much laughter into every room she walks into, and her playful personality makes every day feel like a brand new adventure waiting to happen.

Although Dora has plenty of energy and loves getting out to explore the world around her, she also knows exactly how to switch off afterwards. Once the adventures are over, she is more than happy curling up beside her favourite people for a well-earned snooze, dreaming about where tomorrow’s adventure might take her. She really does have the perfect balance between fun, affection and relaxation, making her such a wonderful companion for so many different families.

There is something so incredibly special about Dora. She has one of the biggest hearts, the happiest spirit and a personality that leaves a lasting impression on everyone she meets. She doesn’t just make people smile, she fills their lives with laughter, love and unforgettable memories. Every explorer needs someone to share their adventures with, and more than anything, Dora is hoping her greatest adventure is still waiting just around the corner… finding the forever family she has been searching for all along!

Dora is such a sweetheart with a heart absolutely bursting with love, light and warmth. There is something so special about this beautiful girl that makes everyone around her smile, and I honestly don’t think you could spend five minutes with her without falling completely in love. She has one of those personalities that fills every room with happiness, and wherever she goes, she leaves a little trail of laughter behind her.

One of my favourite things about Dora is just how wonderfully goofy she is. Being one of the youngest greyhounds here, she is so different from many of her greyhound friends. She has that youthful sparkle that makes every day feel like a brand new adventure, and she throws herself into life with so much excitement and enthusiasm. She is playful, cheeky and full of fun, and somehow always knows exactly how to brighten even the darkest of days with that beautiful personality of hers.

Now, I know reading this you might be thinking she sounds a little bit mad… and don’t get me wrong, she definitely can be! But that’s only one part of who Dora is. Beneath all of that puppy-like excitement is also a wonderfully chilled out, easy-going girl who is more than happy relaxing beside the people she loves, simply waiting to see where life’s next adventure takes her. She really does have the perfect balance between playful chaos and calm companionship.

Some days I see that bouncy baby who wants to explore absolutely everything, and other days she surprises me by seeming wise beyond her years as she quietly comforts the people she loves. That balance is something I absolutely adore about her. She knows exactly when it’s time for fun and when it’s time to simply be there for the people who matter most.

I also love how perfectly she lives up to her namesake. Dora truly was born to explore. Whether she’s discovering somewhere new, meeting new people or simply setting off on another little adventure, she approaches everything with such excitement and curiosity. I just know this beautiful girl is going to have so much fun exploring the world with her forever family, making memories and discovering all the wonderful places life has waiting for her.

Dora settled into life here at Clarks Farm as though she had always belonged. From the moment she walked through our doors, she was completely confident, instantly bonded with all of the team and settled beautifully alongside the other greyhounds. She has taken everything in her stride without a care in the world and has approached every new experience with her usual happy-go-lucky attitude. As long as she has her humans nearby, she is happy, content and ready to see where the day takes her.

Dora has also been an absolute superstar when representing Clarks Farm out and about. She has attended multiple events and has been an incredible ambassador for the breed, winning hearts everywhere she goes. These events can be incredibly busy with lots of people wanting to say hello, children asking for cuddles and other breeds walking past, yet none of it fazed Dora in the slightest. In true explorer fashion, she took it all in her stride, happily greeting everyone she met and soaking up every bit of love and attention she could get.

She really is such a little social butterfly, and seeing how naturally she embraced those busy environments gave us such a lovely insight into just how well she is going to settle into home life. If anything, I think those days confirmed exactly what we already knew… Dora was always meant to be somebody’s pet. In fact, I’m convinced that’s why she decided to get herself disqualified from racing in the first place. Why race around a track when you could be finding your forever family a little bit sooner?

We feel Dora would be best suited to a home with older children aged 10 years and over who don’t mind having a bouncy puppy disguised as a greyhound. She absolutely adores people, but she has absolutely no spatial awareness whatsoever! She’ll need children who can laugh along with her wonderfully silly personality, embrace her mad five minutes and understand that sometimes excitement gets the better of her. Once all of the exploring and adventures are over though, she is more than happy curling up beside you and transforming into the ultimate cuddle bug.

Dora currently shares her kennel with Denzel, and the two are often found charging around together, usually managing to set the entire kennel off in the process! Any greyhound lucky enough to share a home with a Dora will definitely need to enjoy having a playful little partner in crime because she absolutely loves playing with her greyhound friends. As long as they are happy to join in with her adventures, she would love having another hound to explore life with. That said, she is also incredibly independent and would be just as happy as the only dog in the home, soaking up every bit of love and attention and being the centre of her family’s world exactly as she likes.

During her dog test, Dora was wonderfully comfortable around Blossom and, in true Dora fashion, was full of playful enthusiasm. She happily headed off on her own little adventure alongside Blossom, and the two interacted beautifully without any issues at all. Dora passed her dog test with flying colours and showed us exactly what we already knew, that she is such a wonderfully social girl who embraces life with both paws and is always excited to discover what is waiting around the next corner.

Now, all that’s left is for Dora to set off on the greatest adventure of them all… finding her forever home.

She has spent long enough exploring the world without somewhere to truly call her own. Now she deserves a place where the adventures never have to end, where every walk leads back to the people she loves, every sofa becomes her favourite place to recharge after a day of exploring, and every morning starts with another exciting chapter alongside her forever family.

So, if you’re looking for a fun-loving, affectionate best friend to join you on every journey, Dora has packed her backpack, checked her map and is ready to follow the trail straight to your heart. All that’s missing now is one final destination marked with a big red X… her forever home.
