A true social butterfly, Dolly has slotted into kennel life with ease, and we’ve all gone crazy for her. She’s a proper people-lover through and through, always eager to be close to her humans, soaking up every bit of love and affection she can.
With her gentle nature and calm ways, she makes you feel instantly safe in her presence – she really is a little light on even the darkest of days.

She really is the whole package: kind, calm, affectionate, and brimming with personality. As Dolly Parton once said, “if you want the rainbow, you gotta put up with the rain” – but with this Dolly, there’s no rain, just sunshine, cuddles, and joy every single day.
Dolly is also wonderfully social with other dogs, especially her greyhound pals. Recently, she proudly represented Clarks Farm at our annual dog show, as well as a couple of local fetes and events.
The show was a huge day, full of children, dogs of all shapes and sizes, and busy crowds. Dolly took it all in like a true star, her tail wagging the whole time, soaking up every bit of love and attention, and absolutely revelling in it all.
Even when little dogs darted around her feet, she stayed calm and steady, happy to simply enjoy the moment.
Watching her shine so brightly at her first big outing was a truly proud moment for us, and we know that same confidence and charm will follow her into her forever home.
She strutted her stuff in the homing parade like she owned the stage, and it’s no wonder she had a whole fan club falling in love with her by the end of the day.
Her laid-back yet social spirit makes her a regular for our Meet the Breed appointments, where she shows just how gentle, affectionate, and easy-going greyhounds really are.
Dolly is the perfect ambassador for her breed, and she’s a fantastic choice for first-time adopters looking for a dog who can take everything in her stride.
At the kennels, she shares with Randall, and the two of them get on beautifully. Dolly clearly loves the company of her hound friends and would happily share her forever home with another greyhound or two.
That said, she’s just as content to be the only dog in the home, soaking up all the fuss and love as the true queen of her family’s world.
A true people-dog through and through, Dolly showed us at the show how much she adores humans of all ages. She would settle wonderfully into a home with children, teenagers, and adults alike, joining in on school runs, family adventures, and lazy days on the sofa.
Of course, she’d be equally happy in a quieter, adult-only household, provided she has humans who adore her as much as she adores them.
Dolly’s heart is so full of love that wherever she goes, she’ll make it feel like home.
When it came to her dog test, Dolly showed us what we already knew that she was absolute perfection. Blossom adored her from the very first moment, and the two of them strolled happily side by side, calm, polite, and completely at ease.
Dolly also proved herself beautifully at the show, mingling with dogs of all breeds and sizes with no issues at all.
She is the very definition of adaptable, well-rounded, and wonderfully kind. Dolly is everything wrapped up in one perfect greyhound—loving, gentle, playful, and endlessly sweet—and we’re all completely crazy about her.
Whoever welcomes this girl into their lives will feel like the luckiest family in the world.
