Charlie 🐭

Charlie has quickly become a firm favourite amoungst the staff and volunteers. When he first meets you, he can be a little quiet and shy, but once he feels comfortable with you, he truly is a star.

Quite small for a boy, Charlie reminds us of a little mouse. He is the perfect mix of calm and playful. He is a real cuddle bug who loves spending time with his favourite people, but when the time is right, he loves to zoomie around, showing off his playful, puppy-like side.

Charlie walks beautifully on the lead, and all of our volunteers always comment on how lovely he is on his walkies. He is a real pleasure to take out and about. He can be a little shy around other breeds of dog, but we know that with more positive experiences and gentle introductions, his confidence will continue to grow. He has already enjoyed possitive interactions with Blossom and is showing us lovely progress, he just prefers to keep them short and sweet so he can continue with his day. He is very comfortable around other greyhounds and gets along well with them. He is also perfectly polite when sharing his space with his kennel mates. He could happily be the only dog in the house or share with another greyhound.

Charlie would be best suited to an adult only home where he can take things at his own pace and feel free to be himself. He would love a a patient and understanding family who will give him the time, space and reassurance he needs to settle in.

Once Charlie knows you, you get to see the real him: a loving, affectionate boy with a wonderful playful side. We know that the lucky family who gives Charlie a chance to shine will discover what a truly special little boy he is.
