Cedric may not reveal his love straight away, but once you’ve earned his trust, it’s a bond sealed stronger than any magic a love that lasts forever. From the moment we first saw those soulful puppy-dog eyes, we knew he was going to be a dream, and he’s exceeded every expectation.
Alongside his gentle, calm nature, Cedric has a playful, cheeky streak that shines brighter every day. He keeps us smiling with his soft silliness, and it’s impossible not to feel lighter in his company.

Cedric is an incredibly social boy, both with us humans and all of his fellow hounds. He’s one of those dogs who just gets on with absolutely everyone he meets.
With his friendly nature and calm, loving energy, Cedric gives off such good vibes that it’s impossible not to be drawn to him. He’s the very definition of lovable, and everyone who meets him falls head over paws for him.
Cedric has been through a lot in his 6 years, and we are so proud that he has never let any of it stop him from being the kindest, most loving boy – a true Triwizard champion of resilience.
He brings so much light to our lives, and we know in our hearts that he truly deserves to settle into the most loving home where he can finally feel secure and safe, surrounded by humans who adore him endlessly.
He’s currently sharing his kennel with Belle, and the two of them bonded straight away. Cedric is more than happy sharing his space and genuinely enjoys the company of other hounds, so we know he would be very content in a forever home with another greyhound or two.
That said, Cedric is just as happy in his own company as long as he has his humans. He’s very people-motivated, independent, and loves having our full attention, so we know he would thrive as the only hound in the home, soaking up all the love for himself. Whether as a solo dog or part of a pack, Cedric will settle beautifully – he’s an incredibly adaptable boy.
He’s also our go-to choice for “Meet the Breed” appointments, as he’s the perfect greyhound representative. Cedric shows people exactly what greyhounds are like – gentle, affectionate, laid-back, and full of heart – and has already helped so many fall under his spell and fall in love with the breed.
Cedric loves humans of all ages, but given his age and past experiences, we think it would be best for him to have an adult-only home or one with teenagers. There is potential for him to live with mature children who will respect his space when he needs it.
He really loves people, and during a recent “Meet the Breed” appointment, he fell completely in love with the child who attended. He clearly thrives around calm and understanding children who can give him the gentle affection he craves.
As long as everyone in the household is understanding and kind, Cedric would happily be a part of family life.
During his dog test, Cedric was a little on the shy side and preferred not to interact too much at first. He has not got a single bad bone in his body and looked to us humans for reassurance.
By the end of the test, though, he was comfortable in Blossom’s presence, sniffing and wagging his tail happily. Each time Blossom looked back at him, Cedric took a gentle step back, but Blossom was so patient and understanding that it helped him to relax and feel at ease.
It was a truly heartwarming moment to see his confidence grow, even in such a short time.
Cedric is truly one of a kind. With his gentle nature, loving heart, and easy-going charm, he has a way of wrapping you around his paw without even trying. He’s a sweet soul who will bring nothing but love, loyalty, and joy into the life of whoever is lucky enough to call him theirs.
Cedric may not have won the Triwizard Cup, but he’s already won our hearts.
