Gentle, loving, and endlessly sweet, Bon Iver has completely stolen our hearts here at the kennels. At 7 years old, he’s more than ready to find his forever home, and we know his happy ending is just around the corner, waiting for him like a perfect love song.
Bon Iver is a beautiful boy inside and out, and from the moment you meet him, you’ll find yourself falling head over paws in love.
He’s a true gentleman, full of kindness and warmth in everything he does. There isn’t a single bad bone in his body, he’s a treasure through and through.
With his laid-back personality, affectionate soul, and easy-going nature, he’s the perfect forever companion.
Being a little older, Bon is happiest after a gentle morning walk followed by a long, cosy snooze – napping is a talent he’s truly mastered! One of his favourite moments is cuddle time before bed. Every evening, I sit with him on his bed, and he snuggles in so close it feels like all your worries fade into the woods.
Bon Iver truly loves people and being close, and it’s this warmth that makes him so special. We just know there’s a sofa out there with his name written all over it, waiting to be his forever spot.
While Bon has the calm spirit of an old soul, he still has his playful, silly moments that bring smiles to everyone around him. He’s affectionate, people-focused, and adores cuddles.

Bon Iver has settled into life here with such ease, quickly becoming a treasured part of our family. He instantly bonded with the staff and his fellow hounds, winning everyone over with his calm, gentle ways.
Always clean and well-behaved in his kennel, he never makes a fuss, patiently waiting his turn and going with the flow.
He’s the very definition of easy-going, a boy who asks for so little but gives back so much love in return.
Friendly with both humans and hounds alike, Bon Iver has a big heart for everyone he meets. He absolutely adores his kennel mate Summer and would happily share his forever home with another hound or two. T
The love between them has been so special to see – Summer has been a real guiding light for him through uncertain times, and it shows just how deep and meaningful Bon’s bonds can be.
That said, he’s also perfectly happy in his own company, content to soak up all the love and cuddles for himself. For Bon Iver, the most special thing is simply having his humans close by—his one wish is to feel loved and safe.
Bon Iver would be happiest living alongside mature, dog-savvy children, teenagers, or adults. Being on the older side, he prefers a peaceful lifestyle where he can enjoy his walks and then snooze the day away in comfort.
Any children in the home would need to respect his quiet time, and he’d also be perfectly suited to an adult-only household where he could take pride in being the centre of his humans world.
During his dog test, Bon Iver showed impeccable manners with Blossom. He was gentle and polite, sniffing her with ease, and Blossom instantly warmed to him. At one point, he was more interested in sniffing the bushes than fussing over Blossom, but his calm and steady approach showed us just how well-mannered he is around other dogs.
He’s also had multiple vet visits where he’s calmly socialised with dogs of all shapes and sizes, proving he can adapt beautifully to life beyond the greyhound world.
As a 7-year-old black male greyhound, Bon Iver sadly faces the challenge of often being overlooked. Too often, people skip past the older black boys, but those who do are missing out on an absolute treasure.
Bon is a kind-hearted, gentle-natured soul who has waited far too long for a sofa and family to call his own. He deserves the chance to enjoy his retirement wrapped in love and comfort, not overlooked because of his age or colour.
Bon came to us from a difficult situation and had been through some hard times before arriving at Clarks Farm. On his first day, we discovered he had a very sore mouth and needed a tooth extracted.
Sadly, his recovery didn’t go quite as smoothly as we’d hoped, leaving him with no layer between his sinus and his mouth cavity. But please don’t let this put you off—Bon Iver has no pain or discomfort, and it doesn’t affect his day-to-day life.
He will just need a little TLC in his forever home, with regular checks of his mouth to ensure everything stays healthy. In our care, he’s been absolutely fine, still enjoying his walks, playtime, and, of course, snuggles.
With his gentle spirit, loyal heart, and affectionate ways, Bon Iver will make someone feel like the luckiest person in the world.
Whoever adopts him won’t just be giving him a home they’ll be gaining a best friend with a love so pure it will stay with them forever.
